Episode 17 - Reinvention While Staying True to Self feat. Rob Giardinelli

What a great conversation with Rob Giardinelli, lifelong learner, a cultural change agent, and someone who's really fascinated with engaging with others. The conversation is important as we are in an opening where reinvention in our lives is available. What is most important to how you live, play and work? How do we want to show up in the world?
What a great conversation with Rob Giardinelli, lifelong learner, a cultural change agent, and someone who's really fascinated with engaging with others.

Rob began his career tech executive. He then reinvented himself as a magazine co-owner and publisher for Society Texas, a luxury lifestyle magazine that chronicles the people, places and philanthropy of high-achieving Texans.

Join us to hear the conversation and learn about his:
·       Morning exercise routine commitment.
·       Life change readiness gage: ‘Am I friends with …..?’
·       Adage to ‘always leave a party while you’re still having fun’.
·       Path to Austin, while note knowing anyone.
·       Approach to doing life on his terms and timeline.
·       View on the correlation between clothes and confidence.
·       Shift from no parties as a kid to socialite parties as an adult.
·       Decision to shift careers to a creative one as social editor and COO.
·       Advice on being a social columnist that applies to leadership: have an eagle eye, discretion of a diplomat and ears like Scooby Doo.
·       Coaching practice niche helping companies reinvent their message.
·       View on whether companies are doing something because they can or because they should.

Rob offers such vulnerable insight into his journey and the conversation is important as we are in an opening where reinvention in our lives is available.  What is most important to how you live, play and work?  How do we want to show up in the world?

During the pandemic, Rob launched The Lead Coaching, an elevator pitch coaching practice with a mission of helping those who help others. He works with sales executives, non-profit leaders and entrepreneurs to succinctly articulate the strongest attributes of their product and service offerings that get decision-makers to say "YES".  Learn more about Rob's coaching practice at theleadcoaching.com

 Recommendations from Rob:
- Giving is about you, not your company! Find something you are passionate about outside of work and work with that organization.
- Tip: ‘Know Your Room’ and know who your audience is, why/what you need to be talking about (what to say and what not to say).  Do your research!
